What happens in my head when I can’t catch a fish: Before time itself, the river god Created a monstrosity, Embedded within the Frozen lakes. Forsaken by the creator, He is now in hibernation. Forgotten by the world, He is now all alone. Sensing organs shutdown Fate is sealing in now. “Flee with the sun. And I writhe.” Chill Wind Howls All hearts dread Bodies collapse to the bank still blue, Blood flows like a flood, claret planks laid over where nature once stood. The river god had seen too few winters To form his own regret. Fearful of what he created He damned the ungodly being to the void. Hell upon hell, wind beyond reach All howling voids and torment beneath. “Swallow me! Please! And let me sleep! Though I know the water’s swarming with teeth.”
